About us
NL=US Art is a private gallery and art consulting service that is dedicated to the promotion of emerging and established artists and the advancement of the visual arts in general. Other than the gallery, our services include private and corporate art advisory and the professional support for our visual artists. The agency is committed to enhancing the visibility and appreciation of contemporary art.
The gallery represents a number of contemporary artists from different disciplines within the visual arts.
At the moment we represent Silvia B, Hans van Bentem, Willem Besselink, Lily de Bont, Ruth Borgenicht, Margriet van Breevoort, Lizan Freijsen, Tiwánee van der Horst, Kirsten Hutsch, Esther Jiskoot, Arnout Killian, Miriam Kruishoop, Andre Kruysen, Leslie Nagel, Pim Palsgraaf, Niels Post, Alexandra Roozen, Flavio Senoner, Jan Maarten Voskuil and Petra Wolzak. The gallery also works extensively with the artists Peter George d’Angelino Tap, Wendy Letven, Michael Mapes, Schilte & Portielje, Juliane Schmidt, Maurice Thomassen and with applied artist Mischa van der Wekke.
The main focus of NL=US Art is to establish a platform for these artists in a global environment. Not only do we handle the marketing and promotion of their work
in shows or art fairs, we will also act as their business manager liaison to galleries, collectors, corporate institutions and critics alike. We are able to provide guidance and information to all who are interested in acquiring artwork from these artists.
Every artist exhibits their personality through their work in a unique way. Our goal is to make their artwork accessible to the most discerning and receptive audience possible.

About Piet van Wijngaarden
Art director NL=US Art gallery, Rotterdam
Piet van Wijngaarden has been working with NL=US since 2012 as an art consultant and is the co-director of the NL=US gallery in Rotterdam since the opening in 2014, where several team members support him. Before this, Van Wijngaarden was a gallery owner in Amsterdam for twenty years.
Together with Clemente Brakel he is assembling a heterogeneous group of artists, all working in different disciplines and with different themes. In January 2017, the NL=US gallery expanded and moved to a wonderful place in which the most diverse works of art can come into one’s own. The gallery is gradually showing it’s own face.
Collaborations
NL
Each year NL=US Art asks independent curators to organize an exhibition in the gallery. In 2016 Anton Hoeksema was the curator of the show FOR DISTINGUÉ LOVERS. In 2017 Piet de Jonge was the curator. He curated two exhibitions, namely ‘Jonge Abstractie’ and HOLLAND.
In 2019 Diane Wind, the former director of the Stedelijk Museum Schiedam wil curate an exhibition with the artists Vera Galis and Flavio Senona.
Gemma van Bekkum and Olivier Scheffer create exhibitions by combining elements from different disciplines. Their fascination is with the interfaces and boundaries between art and design and sharing this with the public by exhibitions and Artist Talks. In 2017 they curated the exhibition ‘Traces of Existence’.
